The Society of
Saint Vincent de Paul
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a lay Catholic organization whose mission is: "to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, and joy."
The Society's Conference at St. Peter's Cathedral provides outreach services within the parish boundaries to those in need. Vouchers for food, clothing, and housewares are provided through visits to our neighbours' homes throughout the year. We also offer a listening and attentive ear and provide information regarding resources available in our community.
These services are available through the generous financial assistance of the parishioners of St. Peter's Cathedral and the support of the Cathedral Rector, Fr. Jim Mockler. For these reasons, we have no administrative overhead and all donations are directed to those in need.
