Updates from Fr. Jim Mockler
February 16, 2021
To the Friends and Parishioners of St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica:
I hope you are remaining safe and healthy these days.
The livestreaming of Mass from St. Peter’s will begin tomorrow (Ash Wednesday) at noon and every Wednesday to follow.
On February 20th the Saturday 5:00 p.m. Mass will be livestreamed and every Saturday evening to follow.
These Masses can be viewed live on our parish YouTube Channel at the scheduled time and any time after the scheduled event. (Link to the YouTube channel can be found here.)
Another recorded offering available on YouTube will be a reflection on The Stations of the Cross each Friday at noon. This will be similar to our previous Sunday Service with images from the Cathedral and reflections offered by members of our Pastoral Team.
It is possible, at no cost, to subscribe to our YouTube channel. If you choose to do so, you will receive an alert to any new material from St. Peter’s.
The ability to attend Mass in person will begin the weekend of Feb. 27/28, 2021. Saturday Mass will be at 5pm and Sunday Masses at 8:30am, 10:30am, 12:30pm. Attendance at Wednesday weekday Mass will resume on Wednesday March 3, 2021 at noon.
As before, reservations are required for weekend Masses and can be made online through our parish website or by calling the parish office from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Reservations are not required for Mass on Wednesday of each week, 9am-12pm online or by phone. Reservations are not required for Wednesday Masses.
I am praying that Lent will be a time of renewal and hope for all of us.
Fr. Jim Mockler
